Paleontology publications in the Transactions of the Kansas Academy of Science Updated 12/23/2013 |
Established in 1868, the Kansas Academy of Science is one of
oldest organizations of its type in the country and the second oldest west of the
Mississippi River (after the California Academy of Science). The Academy was
organized to encourage education in the sciences, to disseminate scientific information,
and to achieve closer cooperation between scientists and non-scientists so that they might
work together to further science. The Academy is a member of the National
Association of Academies of Science and is affiliated with the American Association for
the Advancement of Science and the U.S. National Academy of Science. Membership information is HERE. The
annual membership fee is $25.00. The Transactions of the Kansas Academy of Science are published twice a year; in the Spring and Fall. Papers published after 2000 are also available through the BioOne database. Volumes 1 through 105 will soon be available through JSTOR.
